Remember Yahoo Instant Messenger?
Do you ever miss life before social media?
Sometimes I catch myself reminiscing about my earlier motherhood days, especially when I just had my oldest two boys.
I became a mom nearly sixteen years ago. We lived in Oklahoma City at the time. I was not quite twenty years old.
Although I had wonderful coworkers at the bank and we had a church family of 2,000+ members, many who were fellow college classmates, I didn’t really have any friends.

We talked about everything!
how our mornings went
parenting struggles
relationship advice
politics
book reviews
recipes
tv shows and movies
her college nursing classes
my growing interest in photography
Jesus
We even exercised together while she was in Nebraska and I was in Texas!
So much in our lives and the world has changed since then!
I share all this to say, connecting with my sister, sharing this motherhood journey with someone who gets it, made all the difference in my life!
