Grateful for grace embracing me in grief

Two days ago, a dear friend died. 💔

My heart feels heavy & broken.

How to pray

I’ve been struggling with how to pray, feeling selfish in my grief, especially knowing my sweet friend is now where she longed to be — in the very presence of Jesus!

I’m grateful…

And grieving.

I’m finding it therapeutic to stand still, physically lift my face toward Heaven, and imagine the warmth of the sun is God’s grace tenderly embracing me!‬

My prayer simply becomes two words:

peace + grace

And that’s my prayer for you, too…

“The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.” — Numbers‬ ‭6:24-26
