What Create Beauty Means to Me
To me, creating beauty is about finding and highlighting the extraordinary in the ordinary. It’s about being intentional in how I approach my days, my relationships, and my work. It’s about bringing light and hope into spaces that need it and encouraging others to do the same.
In a world that can often feel overwhelming, I want to focus on being a creator of beauty—whether it’s through the images I capture, the connections I foster, or the moments I share with my family.
Creating Beauty in My Work
As a family photojournalist, beauty is at the core of what I do. My goal is to capture the raw, real, and heartfelt moments of everyday family life. There is so much beauty in the chaos of raising kids, in the unspoken love between parents and children, and in the quiet corners of a home. This year, I’ll lean even more into creating soulful, documentary-style photos that tell authentic stories.
In my work with Monat, create beauty takes on another layer of meaning. Helping others regain their confidence by addressing hair and skin concerns is deeply rewarding. Whether I’m recommending products or mentoring fellow moms on building their own home-based beauty businesses, my goal is to help you see and feel the beauty within yourself.

At home, creating beauty is about cultivating a space and lifestyle that nurtures love, joy, and connection. It’s about designing moments—whether it’s a family dinner filled with laughter or a simple, heartfelt conversation. I want to show my kids how to appreciate the beauty in nature, art, and even the little everyday moments that make life rich.
As a homeschooling mom, I’ll bring beauty into our lessons by exploring inspiring stories, meaningful art, and creative projects. Faith also plays a huge role in this. By leaning into gratitude and focusing on the blessings of God in my life, I’ll aim to create a spiritual beauty that fills our home.
